We cherish the Way of Tea and the culture that has shaped our lives.
While the global matcha boom is welcome, it has also spread products whose quality we cannot recommend—especially overseas. We would hate for people to remember “Japanese tea” by such standards.
For over five centuries, tea has been handed down from person to person. We hope more people can enjoy authentic, delicious Japanese tea—properly prepared and appreciated.

Japan-grown Tea Leaves
We travel in person to tea merchants in Kyoto and beyond, selecting only the teas we genuinely find delicious, and we handle each selection with the utmost care.
Giving Back to Tea-Growing Regions
We donate a portion of our proceeds to tea-producing communities—beginning with Uji—to help sustain and share the culture of Japanese tea.
