Report on Our Asakusa Pop-Up!
Over the two days of September 27 (Sat.) and 28 (Sun.), 2025, we hosted a Fuji Matcha pop-up at a hotel in Asakusa. The neighborhood was alive with visitors from Japan and around the world, and we were honored to welcome so many guests to our booth. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who stopped by.
The Star of the Event: “Hōjicha Latte”
The undeniable favorite this time was our Hōjicha Latte, celebrated for its toasty aroma and gentle, rounded sweetness.
We received delightful comments from guests of many nationalities—“The fragrance is so fresh,” “Satisfying without being overly sweet.” For those new to Japanese tea, beginning with hōjicha offered a wonderfully approachable first sip, which left a lasting impression on us as well.
Encounters Beyond Borders—Tea as a Bridge
True to Asakusa’s international character, we had the pleasure of speaking with guests from across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and beyond. Together, we tailored each cup to individual preferences and lifestyles:
-
Choice of milk (dairy, oat)
-
Sweetness level (unsweetened to lightly sweetened)
Sharing in the process of finding “the cup that suits you” was as meaningful a learning experience for us as it was enjoyable for our guests.
Looking Ahead
While our schedule will remain occasional, we plan to continue hosting pop-ups in various locations. We hope to create more opportunities to meet and to share moments of tea with friends from many countries and regions. Announcements of future events will be posted on our official website and Instagram.
With Gratitude
To everyone who visited, and to the neighboring businesses who offered kind words and thoughtful support—thank you. The warmth we felt in Asakusa will inspire us to craft the next cup with even greater care and freedom.
